Me & my running buddy Belle one of my pigley wigleys.

Spreading the positivity. I wanted to share with this wonderful group that on Friday I ran my first 10k since my AFIb diagnosis last July. I returned to running in November following the OK from cardiologist & just took it steady. Some of you have seen my previous post about putting AFIb into remission πŸ™ well it’s now been 12 weeks without any episodes, following 6 episodes every 2 weeks. I am very motivated to do whatever it takes to live a good if not excellent quality of life πŸ₯°

I’ve just done 3 very indulgent days in London for my nieces surprise 21st and fell off the wagon & it made me slightly nervous 😬 but back at it tomorrow. Onwards & upwards fellow AFibbers. ❀️

Go you Stoney! Hope the gym session went ok & glad you are back there. We all need to motivate each other. As you know life can be very hard with this condition. πŸ’ͺ🏻

Of well done! I’m struggling to get out of bed today - but not because of AF. It’s so heartening to see examples of what can be done. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Well done. From experience may I make this suggestion. Try and stay out of the heart beat red zone. Up to it , maybe occasionally just in it, then reduce effort. Stay safe, fit and well.

Will do thank you. I keep it steady & if goes over 150 slow it down. Especially on beta blockers.

Hey snowgirl it’s hard to stay motivated but I’m determined I’m not going back to those dark months of extreme anxiety, fear & illnesses. Staying positive as much as I can.

That's positive news indeed! Thank you for sharing. . looking forward to being able to do interval walking again before too long and - mowing the lawn - ten weeks post ablation. May you continue well

Walking is great exercise! Getting as many steps in & setting a target is a good plan πŸ‘

Ha ha I’ve tried that many pints in the past of course! Well John Day book says 1 ounce of water per 1lb of body weight. It is a lot & I don’t always get there but I try!

OK that's interesting. So erm 53 ounces - not sure how many in a pint - 20? That would be about 2.5 pints. Will head to Google and put into litres. I think I've got it about right if I've understood you. Reason for asking btw is I once had a horrid BP hypo due to loss of electrolytes during an AF event. I dutifully replaced all lost fluid due to peeing but not the salts. I'm going interval walking tomorrow if my energy levels are good. Gotta take things carefully post ablation plus a but older than you...
