Too much sleep

It's been almost 4 months and I still don't understand what's going on. Got pacemaker, on Edoxaban, and beta blockers and PPI's and gaviscon. Feeling of swelling under ribs and chest, sickly, keep going hot and sweating, fatigued and every few days can't keep my eyes open during the day after a proper nights sleep. After pacemaker they said I should get back to normal in 2 week, haven't got back to work or anything else all this time on.

Any insights ?

You need to go back to them and tell them how you feel. They should be made aware -may need to review your medication, especially the beta blockers as they maybe adversley affecting you.

I have no direct experience of pacemakers but what you are describing does sound unusual. Agree with waveylines, the best thing has to be to get in touch with your Doctor as they may need to adjust the pacing or modify the medication.......

No way can you recover from pacemaker op in 2 weeks, takes several months for everything to settle down but your symptoms don't sound anything pacemaker related unless you have an infection around the site.Be good idea to get some blood tests done and look at the meds you are taking.

I'm.still.tores 5 months after getting my pacemaker. Was told everything would be fine after 6 weeks. Saw cardiologist after 2 months where he 'helpfully' told me 6 weeks.is a guide, & it can take 6 months to a year for symptoms to subside, & to feel 'more.normal'. Hope you get some answers soon.
