6 Days Post Ablation

Has anyone dealt with diarrhea after their ablation? Could be something else, who knows...Feeling okay other than that. Have felt a few palpitations today but not too bad.

I did not but often did after my heart misbehaved, as your heart has been through a lot it can send out mixed messages as part of your recovery. If in any doubt see your Doc, no one here will have the equipment, facilities or access to you to do any diagnosise. Personally I believe its almost certainly a symptom of recovery.

I had an awful bout of it as soon as I came round from the GA after my last and successful ablation back in 2018. I was still at the lying absolutely still flat on my back stage in a curtained cubicle in a bay containing 4 beds. Had to ask urgently for a bedpan three times and it was quite embarrassing what with the noise and smell etc. Nurses got a bit worried about it and arranged for a test in case it was a bug. Came back negative so assume it was either the anaesthetic or a drug they gave me whilst under. Most unpleasant though!

Oh my, I’m sorry you had to go through that. I truly couldn’t imagine. I was fortunate I didn’t have any problems with the anesthesia. Thanks for the input.

If you had GA they gave you lots and lots of IV fluids so you may just be clearing them. From what I understand post-op constipation might be worse!😂

I believe that constipation would definitely be worse 😂

Hi. I have been given omeprazole to take for 6 weeks following my ablation 2 weeks ago and one of the side effects for that is diahorrea.......... I went the other way and needed help from prunes 😊.
