EP Update

I saw my EP this week and got the results from the 24 hour heart monitor I had on after my recent collapse. He’s not sure what caused that either but felt it could have been a combination of a nerve issue and a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Anyway my monitor showed that I stayed in sinus rhythm with a small number of ectopics but nothing outside the normal range. My BP was perfect. All on all my heart is behaving which is good news.

If I have another episode the doctor will send me to see a neurologist but fingers crossed that won’t happen. I don’t need any more medical specialists in my life 😂.

Thats good news. All these strange things which happen to us are very weird. Here hoping it doesn't happen again but at least you have a plan if it did. Heres to it being just a strange one off. Stay well.

The ankle is pretty good thanks Bob but my right knee is still pretty sore from my fall 😂

Hi Kaz - hope it doesn’t happen again. Can happen when the Autonomic Nervous System goes out of kilter.

Great that you are out and walking again. Stay well,

Thanks CD. I’ve been doing a lot of walking in the pool but I did 11,000 steps on land on Saturday so that was quite an achievement. Biggest day for quite a while!

Lucky you able to get into a pool, I miss that SO much! Still shielding here so can see me getting into the water again until June/July.

Yes I feel for you all. We had a second short (5 day) lockdown a few weeks back but we are pretty well back to normal again. I appreciate how lucky we are here.

Glad you're ok now and your ankle recovery is progressing. I should've been in Perth this month and we might've met up again but looks like I'll just have to be patient and hopefully next year. 😎x

Yes 2020 and 2021 have put a stop to travel in and out of Australia. Hopefully we can catch up again next year. X

Hi Kaz, if it happens again it might be worth discussing a tilt table test. That said, I sailed through mine, but bradacardia from cardio exercise meant I would pass out if disturbed whilst I was deep in concentration.
