It is, but the other way about, conditions that lead to heart attacks predispose you to AF.

Not something I have ever head of in the last 16 years. Strokes yes cardiac arrest no.

The risk of a heart attack is not increased due to AF.The condition does not cause a heart attack.However,AF can lead to other serious complications,so it needs to be treated promptly and monitored closely..Even though your risk of a heart attack is not increased due to AF,your risk of other serious complications,such as stroke and heart failure,does go up because of this condition.In Summary,AF won’t cause heart attacks but can lead to other serious complications.
