This is the site I found in the USA that I think may be of interest to all. The gentleman who hosts the site Steve Ryan is extremely accessible. I emailed about some questions and heard back from him that day. It is a Non-profit information outlet though it is not to say he is not paid. He did write a book.
Outside of that, there is a lot of personal stories of trials and of successes, with editorial help and insight on the stories. Information on Doctors, and what to look for in an EP or if you are in US referrals. Information on treatments and on drugs and so on.
Might be useful for some of our colonial cousins but treatment in US is often different to that here in UK and Europe. Many drugs for example are not licensed here or have different names.
The main anticoagulants and antiarrhythmics that are discussed are same that people are concerned about on this site as is the information on treatment and procedures. I think the stories of people's trials, issues and successes can be all different but in some way universal. It is what interested me about this site.
Whatever helps you. The AFA also has a US base but is new to the US.
The site that I found when I was pretty new to all of this that I thought of great help was stopafib.org/ even though I am UK. I learned helpful stuff from there that wasn’t talked about at all in UK.
It’s changed a lot over the years, used to be more a forum, which still exists but seems to be much more professional now and more on a line with what the AA/AFA do in the UK.
