Ablation and surgery ?

Hi. Sorry to bother you. As some of you know I am having my ablation on Thursday. I have just been called to say my hip injection is going to be in 2 weeks time. It’s a local anaesthetic injected into my hip in theatre for diagnostic purposes. I’ve been on the list for over a year.

My question is shall I go for this. Or is it too soon after my ablation? Any thoughts welcome x

Shouldn’t they answer that? The people doing the injection?

Maybe your pre op nurse can assist?

My opinion: keep the appt booked. Then see how you feel on the day?

Mmm. I’ve not actually spoken to anyone apart from the secretary who called with the appointment date. I intend to ask my EP on Thursday when I’m up for my ablation. Most of me thinks I’ll be ok. Just wondered if anyone else had been in similar situation. Thanks for reply x

Yes speak to your EP if it goes ahead.

I had to be in SR before my cortisone injection in my hip, as I had to come off the anticoagulant, so sounds good to me to have it after your ablation. But that is only my opinion.
