Spoke to my cardiologist today. I asked her when do I take my PIP?
Answer. On onset of an episode.
When do I go to A&E?
Answer. If I were to get AF at 6pm take PIP go to bed as normal and if still there in the morning ( like I’ll sleep) and feel unwell unable to breathe pains go then.
So this won’t work for us all, so I’ll wait till the monster finds me again and try it.
😒 always something to look forward to.

Sounds pretty good advice, generally speaking and one which I would normally follow. Of course if chest pains or undue breathlessness get to A&E sooner
It usually takes 3 to 4 hours for the flecainide to work for me. I take it as soon as I feel an attack. You can feel it trying to work after an hour or so, but the last attack a few weeks ago it was still not quite right after 6 hours, lots of ectopics then back to full NSR
One Q you missed out 'Would it be better to take a regular daily dose rather than PIP? ' Answer from my cardiologist 'Yes' (nb assuming you are getting several episodes in a month)
