You might know me better as RachelAdmin. I have sadly had to leave my position as Patient Services Coordinator at AF Association due to health reasons, and will be starting a new position within a residential care home next week.
However, I have come to know many members in my 4.5 years with the charity, and I have permission from the charity to stay on the forum using an account of my own. If I have a spare 10 minutes occasionally, I may pop on to share any knowledge on AF I might have, and help answer some questions. However, we all know that medical advances change daily, so I might not always be able to give up to date information. In which case, you should always speak with your own medical professional. Or visit heartrhythmalliance.org/afa
I will always do my best to share the most appropriate knowledge, and ensure that no incorrect/unfair information is shared. I no longer hold position of administrator, and cannot action any complaints. You should always use the REPORT procedure under any posts that you think are offering incorrect medical advice.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all members who have offered their knowledge, experience and opinions over the last 4.5 years. I have learnt so much about AF from this forum and I hope that it continues to thrive successfully.
TO CLARIFY - I am no longer AF Association staff, and am not affiliated with the charity in any way. If you need to contact the patient services team, you should email info@afa.org.uk or call 01789 867502.
I am sure I will speak with many of you over the coming months/years.
Best wishes
Rachel

I am very sorry Rachel that you have had to leave a job that you have loved doing, and I hope the ‘health’ reason is not a serious one.
Like all who have replied before me, I thank you so much for all you have done for us over the last four and a half years on this ‘Fabulous Forum’ ...... you must have started shortly before me (May ‘16)

Hi Rachel - so sorry you are leaving and thank you so much for all your contributions. It was lovely talking in person with you at Patient Day last year and I know you will be sadly missed by many of us who valued your kind and reassuring responses and prompt action when required.
Go well and it will be nice to have you ‘pop in’ every so often and good luck in your new jobs.
So sad to hear of you leaving. Thank you for what you have done, how you have done it, and all the people you have brought together here. Wishing you much success with your new endeavor.
