Woke up about an hour ago in AF. This is the first episode I have had in over 6 months and was completely unexpected. Previously, the longest time I had gone without AF since diagnosis (about 2 years ago) was 2 months. The AF seems very slow, only 70 on one Kardia recording, but it’s a big disappointment that it’s come back. For the first time, I had had days, even weeks, when I hardly thought of AF.

AF is back!
Has it settled now or are you still AF-ing?
Just to relate - I know how it feels to be on the up and then AF knocks you back down. It was like that for me for years when nothing had changed in my life and I was doing everything I needed to then BAM.
It has stopped, thanks. It followed the usual pattern for me, starting after a couple of hours of sleep and running for about 9 hours. I had more stress that usual during the week before the AF and also ate a lot of chocolates during the days before. I spoke to a doctor over the phone and she said that hopefully it’s a one of caused by the stress, but I need to get back to them if it recurs. Today I have an echocardiogram (delayed because of the lockdow), so I will find out more about the condition of the heart.
Has your AF stabilised? I recall that you had a difficult patch a while ago?
It's awful when it returns so sorry. Looking at others replies and your post. I would think stress is the silent enemy. Its what to do about it is the question. Certainly chocolate can be a trigger for some. So that one is in your control to cut down. Have a look on the web at acupressure. I find it of great benefit. It's too complex to try and describe in a post. But get back if you struggle.
