This is what my doctor,in my case, calls, venal eczema .Mine is 'mild' but I am constantly wary of deterioration....nothing much gets better with ageing being the philosophy!I use flight socks which helps....not nec. all the time and mostly in spring to autumn.Apparently, two socks are better than one but i have not had to do this yet. Also, I read somewhere that horse chestnut cream can perhaps help? Certainly cortisone and antibiotic cream used VERY sparingly does help.I do not deny it but my doc. has never mentioned heart problems as a contributary factor.

Do you find when they fade you are left with brown spots?

Well, that is difficult to tell because i have underlying Heamacidrin which cause brown marks on the legs but nothing else ....sorry if the spelling of the word is incorrect.I have been very much 'around the houses' with this over a few years but i am very aware it is slowly deteriorating.I am considering consulting someone privately but as yet have not made decision. If underlying factors are causing this i would like them treated and independently of the skin.I do not accept it is due to 'ageing'.
