I have had persistant A-Fib since September and had a Cardioversion yesterday which has brought me back to Sinus Rhythm for the first time since diagnosis.
Feeling great. This afternoon I have been called and offered an Ablation in 2 weeks. Can this still be performed if I am out of A-Fib at the time from now until then?
Sorry to sound confused, I read so many different stories but I know you guys have more experience than googling!!!

Yes of course. EPs are very clever and without dumming anything down, they have ways of triggering the arrhythmia when they want to find where it is . Don't forget to read both our fact sheets on perparing for and recovering from ablation.
Yes of course, it doesn't matter whether you are in AFib or not when you have an ablation. I believe they trigger an arhythmia if they need to. I too am waiting an ablation and as things are going at the moment I shall hopefully be in NSR after my cardioversion back in February. I have had 3 cardioversions.
All the best to you for the ablation.
Yes, they can. I had been AFib free for the best part of 2 months before my procedure. I even queried the surgeon as to whether it was worth doing as I felt so good. Her reply was the ablation offered a potentially long term preventative solution. So I went ahead, now getting back to "normal" and glad I made that decision.
