Worth remembering that AF is not heart disease it is an electrical malfunction . Most people with AF ( not all obviously ) have perfectly normal hearts that just beat a bit wonky.

My AF turned out to be Sick Sinus Syndrome and required a pacemaker - especially after my kidneys failed and I had a heart attack. In addition, I have had ongoing issues with a persistent cough and most recently a horrible attack of bronchitis (imagine knives being driven into your abdomen).

So yes, most AFib patients need not worry overly much about the corona-virus, but some us do. ;-)

A reminder for everyone that good hygiene including washing your hands and keeping your hands away from your face in between hand washings is important regardless of your heart situation!
