New diagnosis - 2 questions ...

1. Three weeks ago I had angiogram and then yesterday had my 4th ablation. Always before they went in through an artery, the recovery was mild, hardly noticed the anesthetic. This time they went in through veins on both legs in the groin and there were stitches. My heart is sore for the first time, really sore throat and productive cough and still woozy. I read the Post-Ablation post and what the hospital gave me.

2. Does anyone else have PAD along with your AFIB? PAD is a new diagnosis with Biphasic waveforms seen throughout right posterior tibial and dorsalis pedis artery and left posterior tibial artery. Monophasic waveform at the left dorsalis pedis artery. ABI .80.

I won't see the doctor for report until next week. Any insight from this group?

Just to correct you there, any ablation is done through a vein not an artery. Arteries only lead to the left ventricle but can be used for angiogram etc not ablation. . Veins lead to the right atrium and from there across the septum to the left atrium.

Sorry I can't answer your other question.

PAD is peripheral artery disease, means your blood flow to your legs isn't as good as it should be but can't tell you more than that.
