I found Dr Sanjay's talk very interesting, so simply explained. I had a myxoma removed from my left atriam ten years ago Since then I have had two ablatalions and three pacemakers. Until the last pacemaker was fitted in November of last year I had not had a prolonged episode of AF for quite a long time. But now it sems to be a daily occurance, more often at night and the duration is getting longer. I take 80mg Sotolol daily, 125mg Digoxin and 110 Dabigatran daily. Would this be consided to be well controled. The reason I have had three pacemakers is I was told because I am quite bony in the breast area. Do I need a medication review? Many thanks.

Thank you for posting this video. I am still not sure if my AF will cause damage. I have a very irregular hb but never higher than 60 on a very few occasions it went up to 110 but I didn’t notice only detected on my fit bit. I suppose I am lucky not to have episodes. My energy level is low and I get breathless if walking fast or climbing stairs.

I take Apixaban, Perindopril and statins. Maybe someone has an answer for me.

Thank you for posting this- must have missed it before- most encouraging as it reassures me that having the odd AF episode (getting less frequent now I'm getting to grips with the triggers) is really nothing to worry about which will cut down further on triggers too!
