Just been prescribed Amitriptyline for neck pain and lack of sleep. Just read leaflet it says do not take if you have disturbance of the heart rhythm as seen on a ECG. My doctor said they would be alright with my AF. Unsure whether to take them. Anyone else take them?

I have been on a low dose (10mg) with no adverse effects for over 8 years. This was added to my Tramadol for joint pains by Chronic Pain clinic among others. I think it may depend on the dosage given to you, however if in doubt ask another medical professional cos all I can say its fine for me where they have access to a larger amount of data for comparison!
I take 10mg at night which is a very low dose and my EP, GP and pharmacist have all said that it’s fine and safe.
