She has been cardioverted again and has gone back into nsr. She was only 3 when she was diagnosed! Hate seeing her suffer...thank you

This is heartbreaking to hear. I just wonder why more young people are suffering from this type of heart problem now. My AF nurse told me last week that they are dealing with a lot more young people in their clinic now. Oh to know why this is!!

How is she today?

Jean

I wonder the same too? Our overprocessed food? Depleted soil? Someone could make a lot of money and fame if they found a cause!! Thanks Jean, hope you get sorted soon too xxx

Oh bless her, how horrid for her and all the family. I so hope things ease very soon for her and there is some way forward to improve her young life and that in time some clever medics find a solution to such problems. 💖

The plan is for ablation when shes older. I hope you are in better place than recently too.,,? Xxx

meadfoot profile image
meadfoot in reply towilsond

Here's hoping for short term improvement and that long term the ablation sorts things out once and for all for her. Best wishes and hugs. Ps. I am manageable currently thank you for asking. Please don't let this upset knock you off course heart wise if you possible can. X

Sorry to read that. Methinks there must be some genetics at work. My eldest has never been diagnosed with AF but has had a few funny turns and my father had similar later in life that was never diagnosed. It would be so nice for somebody to find an answer as too many younger people are suffering arrhythmias these days.

wilsond profile image
wilsond in reply toBobD

I think so too, my mum had AF, Gran had it......

My son was diagnosed and has had 2 ablations ( the machine broke during the first one) and thankfully he has been clear for 5 years. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Hope the little girl is free if it all soon x

I was so saddened to read your post Wilsond and I’m glad to know she is feeling better now. My Grandson aged 14 has recently had an ablation for the same problem. He has had no problem since so fingers crossed it has been successful.

I am so sorry to hear of a child going through this and an ablation down the road. On the bright side, as she is young perhaps there will be a cure for her. Tell her there are people all around the world who are wishing her well . Pam

I’m so sorry she is going through this. It’s so frightening for everyone. My Svt too started at such a young age except I told no one...I would collapse when one came on and my heart would race at 200 plus beats a minute. It would last anything from 20 minutes to an hour and I still did not tell a sole. (No idea why). I finally had my ablation in February of this year after being rushed in twice last year with my svt’s now lasting 3+ hours and given adenosine. I don’t know if this helps, but after the ablation my surgeons words were “you have a birth defect and everything went well”. So maybe the little one was born with it and will at some point need an ablation. Hopefully that will correct the hearts ability to go into Svt. I wish you all well and I hope she gets better really soon x

Thank you fir sharing your story, she was diagnosed at age 3 so pretty sure must be genetic. Nice to read positive outcome! Xx

Ooh bless her, let’s hope she is not too young for an ablation, I wouldn’t know. All I can say is after 18 years of svt episodes , 9 trips to A n E in 2 months last year , then ablation in January this year, now 9 months on I haven’t had an episode and feel wonderful. Give her our love x
