Tomorrow, I am getting a loop recorder inserted to check and see if I am having any AFib episodes. I am 11 months post ablation, and have not had any diagnosed episodes since last June. I also wore a heart monitor for 30 days, and have both the 1 lead and the 6 lead KardiaMobile, none of which have registered any AFib. I am waiting to get into a clinical trial to assess the efficacy of continued anticoagulation after ablation, which is why I'm getting the loop recorder, in case I get randomized into the group that stops the Apixaban. Anybody have any issues with their loop recorder? I'll keep everyone informed of what happens. Fingers crossed, no AFib

I had one fitted two weeks ago and already I have been told I probably have AF. Procedure went really well.
Have you had an ablation? So you know when you are in AFib?
No treatment at all so far. I am getting palpitations which is why I had the loop monitor fitted. They can last for several hours. I sent a recording yesterday and the hospital called me back and said it looks like AF although seeing consultant in October, presumably for formal diagnosis. In meantime they want me to start medication to reduce the risk of stroke so seeing GP next week.
