I am travelling for 3 weeks through Poland Nd Sweden in a campervan. My INR is not particularly stable at present and needing weekly testing. Does anyone know about the availability of self testing kits in Scotland?
Thanks

You can buy the Roche machine for about £300 but the strips are quite expensive and many CCGs will not support prescibing them. It will depend on your area despite NICE approving of self testing.
Can’t help with your question but this was why I decided to swop from warfarin to Apixaban. On returning from a 4 week trip to Portugal in our van my INR levels had raised quite a bit. My concern was knowing how to alter the dose if I had been self-monitoring. I know DOAC’s are not suitable for some but they do provide freedom from worry when on holiday.
Look into testing facilities in the countries you are traveling to.
Consider changing to a DOAC?
