Hi everyone....my problem still is shortness of breath 4.5 weeks after ablation....and still feeling not too good. Went to GP who was pretty thorough decided it was because I had stopped taking Furosomide, so have gone back on it...didn’t make any difference....Saw GP again yesterday, he says I have a crackly chest so has put me now on Amoxicillen..... seeing Arrythmia nurse today, so will see what she has to say. Has anyone else experienced shortness of breath for this long after an Ablation....makes you feel awful, no energy etc, can’t do much....would welcome other people’s experiences

Still very early days I'm afraid but if your chest is crackly then it could be an unrelated infection adding to normal recovery breathlessness . Trust me this is not long after your ablation. Three to six months recovery is quite normal and often longer.
I am almost two weeks out feeling the same due to high heart rate. Was hoping it wouldn't last that long.
Thankyou for the advice....I see GP again on the 1st July, if I am still no better will suggest medication you have suggested....this website and forum is so helpful...many thanks to all.
