Off to see my EP Prof Osman today,where we will discuss whether i am still to have the double ablation or not,saw him at Xmas where he decided to see if I could maintain my level of improvement...had to keep a diary...lets see what he thinks.????

I must be tired I thought that said you had to keep off dairy and I was like WHY??!

Overall happy,not quite what I was hoping for. My ecg was fine,my bo was 130/63 so thats great.I had seen him at Xmas and we discussed whether I should still be considered for an ablation,had to keep a diary this past month.The dr I saw today was quite young and seemed a little over cautious,to be honestbitnwas quite dificult to understand him as well,im glad I took my friend along with me!

He wants me to remain on the list,review in 6 months and go back on flecanide as a dai!y dose of 50g twice a day,as on my diary I had a few episodes of Af which began during the night.I dont get many,and they are not violent,and stop with a singke dose of flecanide.

So i am going to wait to see what DR Osman thinks,as we agreed before tomuse flec as a Pip!!

I was prescribed 100mg daily like you by the cardiologist but spoke to my GP and said I was unhappy taking flecainide daily considering I was only having an episode every two/three months. He agreed and I started using it as a PIP. I feel much happier, and although I will never get back to the days when I took no drugs whatsoever, taking less with no side effects can only be a good thing! x

PS In the middle of a long long drive through France and Spain - our Santander - Portsmouth ferry was cancelled giving us four days notice. The French leg is tomorrow. But yes, once Spain heated up a bit (it was bitterly cold when we arrived) it was lovely.

Thank you very much for this Irene,thats how I feel.In usual circumstances,Im only getting shortish ,low level episodes 2/3 times a month.At present Im getting rather more,as we have been disturbed a lot in the middle of thr night for several hours by our very frail old dog...affecting me.
