Kitchen fitting and weight loss.

Well the two month project is now over and for those who may remember my earlier post about weight loss the totals are now in. Since Mid March when Sam and I started stripping dead plaster and sealing the artexed ceilings prior to (contractor ) re-plastering and we two stripping out old units fitting all new and re-decorating which is now 99% finished I have lost eight pounds in weight. This brings my total for the last year since I started reducing meat intake to a whole stone (14lbs.)

As a solution to weight loss I can't really recommend it as the cost has exceeded £1800 per pound lost during the re-furb of this 300sq ft kitchen/ dining area but since I was doing it anyway, it is a nice bonus. I am now under 12 stone for the first time in many years and have run out of belt holes!

Did my heart protest? Apart from a few valsalva stopped runs of tachy and a few ectopics no despite my new found inability to cope with any stress without having a major melt down and throwing all toys out of all available prams no. It behaved far better than I did. At least so Sam tells me. lol Per ardua ad normality.

Off for soup and a roll at Fremington Quay now.

Well done on the weight loss Bob and enjoy your new kitchen.

Not very good with tech re posting such things but have a short video 360 if I can ever work it out. Can't seem to get my phone to talk to my new office computer.

High gloss concealed handle units with dark slate work tops and of course the dark blue 4 oven AGA. Three unit larder space near dining table . Fridge freezer , 3 high long storage drawers, magic corner unit, dishwasher, stainless steel undersink on one side and rear and AGA with units either side. Waiting for one door which was incorrect at present.

Sounds a perfect combination....win and win with new kitchen new weight.......kitchen sounds nice, I jealous with your new aga! .....

Had the AGA since 2000 and moved house with it here in 2004. Sold previous house without it! Idiot only offered me £500 for it! Cost me £2k to have it dismantled and shipped but life without an AGA is life without a home.

Cor, I am very jealous of the kitchen and the weight loss - well done on both! We'll be round later :D

Well done Bob, maybe that’s the answer, I should start stripping the kitchen 😂. Bet it’s going to look fab when all finished.

Well done bet it looks lovely, weight loss..

I so want to get the weight off. It’s six months since I stopped smoking after 54 years along with my Colin, but I have put a stone on ...hungry all the time can’t help eating everything in sight. Keep telling myself my heart is behaving and we are saving £ 600 a month so what if I end up looking like a beach wale lol.... joking apart my weight loss is my next goal.... slowly does it! Salad or cottage pie chips and peas followed by spotted dick and custard ,.......of course I would go for the salad lol x

Never have a sweet course at home. Just a fat free yogurt and an easypeel orangey thing Maybe a small bit of cheese with a biscuit for supper.

Wow Bob, well done on your double achievement, your new kitchen sounds gorgeous - I look forward to seeing it when I come for the wine!!!

Since we had ours done I’ve gained a few pounds, as being in the kitchen is a lot nicer, and eating is so much easier i.e. no more searching in the back of a cupboard for the peanut butter! x

The magic corner unit ends all searching. When we cleared out the old corner unit we found tins and jars with used by dates in 2012 and some vaccum packed chestnuts even older! lol 😁

Lol :D those vaccuum packed chestnuts are little b*****s for hiding themselves away for years - found two packets that were over 5 years out of date :-)

Good news on the weight loss Bob, sounds very much like my pram action used to be, I changed when afib spoke abruptly when said toys were being launched. Kitchen sounds epic, if your like me my ocd is my worst enemy never looks good enough.
