Not sure you've posted in the right forum as this is for people with a type of irregular heart beat.
If you didn't injure your foot It could be Gout. See your GP. I get it because of my heart medication , and take more to prevent it. Allepurinol .
When I broke my inferior metatarsal (the long bone on the outside of the foot) I did not realise I had broken it for a while.
Gout normally affects the joint between the metatarsals and the toes (phalanges).
