Cortisol test + support

Hello everyone, I shared in another post some info from my recent follow up with my naturopath. One other interesting result is that my evening/nighttime Cortisol is a bit high. I'd had a problem with this in the past, when I taught an evening class.

Cortisol should be elevated in the morning and lower in the evening. When it's too high in the evening, it contributes to insomnia.

The doc recommended Cortisol Manager, which I've started taking and it does seem to be helping.

I've noticed that since starting it, I wake up feeling refreshed and energized. It's only been a few days, but so far, so good.

Wondering if anyone else has used this formula.

Interesting thanks, my Naturopath prescribed something similar for high cortisol but I opted for one hour in the evening of meditation, yoga & prayer, which has helped a lot and now at last sleeping well. Incidentally, in the evening I just use a spray-on Mg supplement now and have stopped a Mg compound with Taurine & other stuff as I found the latter was preventing sleep rather than aiding it.

Did you experiment with the compounds over a few days to see what was contributing to insomnia? I was using the spray Mag at bedtime, but then stopped because I was concerned that it was contributing to keeping me up. I would've thought Mag would have a generally calming effect, but then nothing surprises me anymore with supplements!😂

Actually the poor sleep lasted for several years which coincided with taking the compound and spray at night, as I thought the insomnia was down to other things and that still may have been the case. All I can say is I have been gradually improving my QOL over 4 years with constant adjustments/tests and now cutting out the compound at night as one test has coincided with better sleep. I suspect, only a guess, it may have been the Taurine in the compound so anyone with sleep difficulties I suggest try stopping that to see if things improve.

The only supplements I take at night now are Cortisol Manager and Kavanace, though I did spray Mag on my legs last night.

It seems to be working to take the last dose of CoQ10, Taurine & Potassium midday.

I need to be sure I get off the computer early in the evening, as it can be too stimulating later on. My cat gets after me to turn it off if she thinks I’m on it too late!😹😻

Thanks for the information. I haven’t heard of this but will look into it, anything to help with insomnia! When I don’t sleep well I’m more prone to ectopics etc.

Yes, I know what you mean about insomnia! I also use Kavanace before bed, which helps.
