Last month I was sorting out my health paperwork folder, came across a letter from the cardiologist I saw last March as an ongoing check up.In it he said he notes I am receiving care from Proff.Osman..EP..blah blah...ends with 'I will review this lady in clinic in one year in view of the biscuspid aortic valve and family history if valve problems. She will need an echocaridiagram approx. One week beforehand.'
Dated 13.3.18
Hmm I thought, why havent I had a letter then? Rang up...set a few hares running,as this chap was a locum consultant who had not followed proceedure. I would not have been called back in had I not rung up
Anyway, got appt very quickly, echo today see main consultant Monday,at my local hospital not the huge teaching hospital.
Good
So AF decides to join us today! Took my PIPs and trying to calm!
Probably due to worry over son,he has a very badly infected wisdom tooth and is in a lot of pain while the antibiotics get to work...
Typical when I wanted to show off how well I am compared to last year! Pride and fall..
AND the holiday company my other son and I were booked on has gone bust!
Grrr gloomy Thursday!

Your post made me smile, so it isn’t just me these things happen to. The problem these days is that nobody follows things through. I recon Once details are in the computer they get swallowed up. Hope you feel better soon. Love from Rienij 💕💕 Try to stay calm, xx
Thank you Rienij! It all carried on all throught the echocardigram...so much so she said, could we use this in training? Lol! Yes ! Signed the forms for them. You have to laugh....xxxbest wishes to you too, xxxx
One off the students in the hospital, is using my case in her presentation, I bet they are going to have a good laugh over that. Are you ok now? Today I started to feel a bit better at long last. Wishing that for you too. 💕💕
Hate it there anyway...same waiting room where I took mum and dad so many times.Just struck me today, wearing a raincoat bought by my mum,sat there...but she was in her 70s! Lump in throat.Mum had Af and died in my arms of AF stroke, and Nanna had it.
But hey.... Always look on the bright side 0f life eh? Lol!
I know how you feel. I have to go to the local hospital where my mum died from cardiac arrest after years of AF sometimes. It feels as if history is repeating its self but I hope not.
This goes to show how important it is to take control of your own health. I recently fought to see a Neurologist. She actually confirmed that I should have been followed up 2 years ago but nothing had happened as she was on maternity leave. And I had been thinking that I had not been seen because there was no problem. WRONG! They now think that I've got MS.
