Thanks for this. I think the case made against screening as presented in the article, is at first sight absurd. I can see that money will not be allocated for a national screening programme until the trial is done, though the results seem completely predictable.
Thanks for the heads up. I have signed up for Medscape. I used it a lot when I was working as I was working in the medical profession. I thank God I am on NOACS. The risk of stroke scares me. The incidence of AF certainly seems to be increasing but I am sure that is because people are suffering more anxiety than ever before. I firmly believe that stress is the cause of a lot of cardiac conditions. Oh to be a laid back person that just lives life without the worry.
