AFIB - CHEST PAINS

Hello. I was hoping I could get some advice.

I am 32 years old and had my first AFIB episode around 4 months ago, this was heavily due to lifestyle, smoking, drinking and in particular stress.

Since then I have quit smoking, drinking and caffeine so I am taking positive steps in the right direction.

My question is, for years I have had chest pains daily, these are dull and in the heart region.

They do not progress into anything, it is more just an inconvenience as they scare me and often debilitating due to the stress they cause, note I am also a very anxious person.

My question is, I have had an MRI with contrast, X-RAY, ECG various times and nothing has really come out of these tests.

What else can be done, I want to know the cause of this pain as I am now a father and need a higher quality of life.

Cn anyone recommend what my next steps should be to get to the bottom of this pain?

Please note that my first AFIB episode is also what I am hoping my last, I had been drinking heavily that evening and had large amounts of caffeine and nicotine.

Your changes in lifestyle are significant and can only help with your general health.

Pain in the chest should never be ignored.

We are not medically trained and therefore we cannot advise beyond saying that you should get any chest pain investigated. Despite the fact you have had numerous tests my advice is to go back to your doctor!s practice and explain that you are still having the chest pain.

The stress is not good for you and it is possible that meditation or relaxation exercises could help you. There are many meditation and relaxation videos on YouTube that could help.

I would say cut out all fats and vinegar and see if that helps. If it does then it could be an acid problem. By doing this elimination diet I managed to cure myself of similar symptoms. Take care though and read labels, because vinegar is hidden in a lot of things like baked beans, coleslaw etc.
