In Afib after changing diltiazem brands
This must be unusual, are the inactive ingredients listed on the data sheet different? Diltiazem is a rate control medication in AF and I don’t think it usually prevents an episode. Are your episodes usually much shorter?
I should have known better I asked the question I already knew the answer to many brands do not work as well for Afib as others . I went into Afib bad, felt like I was going to pass out and was sick the rest of the 24+ plus hours till it wore off ,I tryed another brand this morning and just minor Afib for a half hour w no breathing problems it is 180mg er by Apo , the oceanside 180mg made me very ill Thank you !
When My husband was prescribed adizem his
GP was adamant that he should always have the same specific brand, going so far as to specify this on his repeat script. Never thought to ask why.
Yes ,I wanted to try a different brand because my bp was getting high w the cardia 180xt the 180mg er Apo seems to be working better , the 180mg cr oceanside was awful I went in terrible Afib w/i 30 minutes of taking it and then was sick for 30 hrs sore w no energy . I usually have an event every 5 mo that last several hrs then I'm good for months .
