Taking meds in a different time zone,

Who would stick with their ‘home ‘ time zone or adjust to suit where visiting?🤔

I usually travel to Sydney. I stay on my home time until I get to Sydney, then I revert to local time. So, if I arrive in Sydney at 06.00 hrs I'll have my morning meds at around 08.00 Sydney time, then my evening meds at 20.00 hrs. Just as I would at home, the only thing that changes is the location, the time values stay same. Hope this makes sense.

For me, it depends how long I am staying and how big a time difference. If it just a few hours and I'll only be there a few days I stick to my home schedule, but a big change, like across continents, I will slowly adjust over a couple days to be on the local time.

I travel to Australia quite a lot and always adjust to local time, gradually over the journey and a couple of days in. You need to do this as a lot of medications are dependent on meal times and sleep time, e.g. flecainide on an empty stomach is best and statin should be taken last thing before bed. PPI's should also be taken first thing on waking for best results.
