I’ve had just about all types of beta blockers and they all have similar side effects but the severity of these depends on the individual. Cold extremities is very common and a general slowing down of just about every function you can think of. I am currently on Sotalol for a ‘rate and rhythm’ disorder. Sotalol has been the worst for side effects, erectile dis function being the latest. Still, where would we be without them!

All have similar side effects.
Sotalol has not been recommended for AF in the U.K. for several years now. I don’t know if it would help regarding erectile disfunction, but Nebivolol seems to get good reviews but I’m not medically trained and have no personal experience.......
I was on Bisoprolol for 7 weeks before the first side effect occurred. It triggered urticaria. I was weaned off Bisoprolol over the next 2 months during which time I had the second side effect of a rapid tightening of the my lungs causing breathing difficulties. I was in a pharmacy at the time, close by the medical centre, so I was soon being carried by ambulance to hospital. My GPs consider that I should do without any beta blockers and I agree with them. I did without them for 20+ years of AF, and do not miss them.
I like your attitude... because ....Well, you have to have your heart. However, other symptoms should be highlighted by comparison. I know It’s one of those “ Jesus... what ELSE ! “ moments. But Perspective and attitude are all part of the whole. It’s like telling a bald man, “I don’t care about hair or not—- I love you.” Don’t worry and try to get well. You as a whole are more important than the parts!
