Update following ablation and phrenic nerve.

Hi all, thought I would update my last post, 3 weeks today after 2nd ablation and cardio version. My symptoms of breathlessness have improved but still very breathless on stairs etc, not having to sleep completely sitting up, less pillows now, still have cough and still can't fill my lungs completely with air, my consultant has arranged another x-ray for tomorrow (last x-ray showed diaphragm higher on right side) possible phrenic nerve palsy. Have an echogram and consultant review in couple of weeks.

Big amazing news is my daily a.f and atrial flutter has not reared its head since the op πŸ˜‰πŸ˜€, each day I wake up and feel so grateful of that. Phrenic nerve will heal I hope and in time I will feel human again. I'm 55yrs old, need to get back to full-time work so fingers crossed.

Hi Marge

After my ablation I thought I had phrenic nerve damage as they hurt me pulling out the catheter! Pain right side neck into right side chest up into my neck and head ? Did this happen to you? I to get a bit breathless and a slight cough but the doctor says I am ok? Steve

Hi, no I haven't had pain in neck or head, I had a general anaesthetic and catheter in groin but no problems with that. How long ago did u have ablation and did u recover ok? πŸ€”

Two weeks ago but still not right! Just wondered about your symptoms? Seemed strange I had pain going up into my neck and ear right side as catheter was being pulled out?
