Hello all. Had an ablation in early Nov 2018 followed by another the next day for a heart flutter. I pride myself on being very fit/healthy (and was asymptomatic prior) but seem to be struggling atm - heart rate irregular, 10-15 bpm faster now than pre ablation, sore chest and find I get tired much more easily. I understand some of these things are 'normal' based on other posts, but all of them together? Interested in your thoughts. Have a check-up scheduled with the Dr on 10 Dec.

3 weeks post ablation
Most of us who have had one ablation Ormy experience the issues you mention so having had two assaults on the heart, it’s really not surprising that recovery is going to be a bit difficult. Suggest you read the AF Association fact sheet which explains how the recovery process is likely to effect you, but in your case, remember you have had two!

Hope the fact sheet helps......
Thank you for this fact sheet, FlapJack! I wish I had been given this when leaving the hospital. I experienced (and am experiencing) all of these things and thought something was wrong. I had my ablation Nov. 9th and feel great other than rapid heart rate.
Hi Ormy, I am 6 weeks on from procedure and experiencing the same as you, every day, getting more frequent as time passes which worries me. The increased heart rate has settled back now though, and the crippling fatigue is starting to lift at last, although I am nowhere near ‘normal’ yet. I too had been asymptomatic for a few months, and even considered cancelling, I had almost forgotten how unpleasant and distressing it is!
My various bumps and arrhythmias took 5 months to settle and almost a year for resting heart beat to return to normal. I am now 5 years post ablation and still AF free so be patient and stay positive. Good luck 🍀
