New to taking flecanide on a regular basis. Woke this morning to a strange feeling which I think may be heart flutter it only lasted 15 mins. Any advice. Only saw GP yesterday and all was well typical.

Speak to whoever prescribed the Flecainide is the best idea. Without ECG it is unlikely to be correctly diagnosed one way or the other but a heads up to your AF team would be good idea. Are you taking a beta blocker as well? There is an interesting post on this very subject last evening.

Thanks I'll try and find the post. First time this has happened so will see if happens again, I was just wondering if this was common.

When I was first given flecanaide in hospital after a wild AF ride,I was taken off bisoprolol as heart rate was only 40 bpm.A week later I was back in..to another hospital with weird chest pai n s and very fast bpm...flecanaide had triggered AFlutter. Not saying it is what you have described but possible.I think you need further investigation. If they do catch a recording it is unmistakable saw tooth pattern on ecg. Flutter is simpler to treat so not terrible news! Best wishes
