I am post ablation 1 month. I go to work feeling tired. Following b.c work I'm really tired , come home and take a nap at 2pm. Wake up at 11:30 pm. I feel like a wet rag, so tired. This is unusual for me. I'm a go getter and always busy. Anyone else have this?

Back at work a month after ablation? Well done you so no surprise you feel whacked. It takes three to six months for recovery as I am sure they must have told you and many people are still improving at nine months so be patient and listen to your body.
I had to go back a week after mine due to no sick pay and a mortgage to pay. Luckily I'm a desk pilot but it was pretty awful>
And yes, I've said before it took 3 months to feel human again
Hi there, I had a Cryoablation 17 days ago, I'm scheduled to be off work for 6 weeks and I will need every day of the rest. At this point now I can walk around the house and negotiate a single flight of stairs at a slow pace and that's about it! As Bobd mentions post ablation recovery is a 3 to 6 months process, it's all about slow progression and giving the heart time to recover from the procedure which in its very nature has damaged your heart. The damage must repair and it takes a while.
Take it easy and I hope your recovery continues in the right direction. 👍
You need a lot more sleep to heal so yes, it is normal and you should take as much rest as your body is demanding of you, pushing through will put extra strain on your body. Many people ask for graduated return to work - starting with a few hours and building very slowly over a month or so. Best wishes CD
Why do they not think this is hard on your body. I went back to work part time 1 week and full time a few weeks later. Looking back and how I feel now, post surgery nine months, I am can just now start feeling 'normal' most days. When I over do it it reminds me. Best to you!
When I had my ablation, it was at least three months before I felt somewhat human again, and I still had extreme fatigue hit me (could not even walk up the stairs) at times for up to six months. I also had to go back to work before I was ready, and I ended up with an ambulance ride by not listening to my body and trying to push myself because I thought I should be doing better than I was at the time. You may have to work, but you don't have to kill yourself. Be gentle and give your heart (and mind) time to heal.
Yes, I did. It took over a year to feel normal again but I had a few good days in there.
I have had two ablations and on neither occasion was staying off work mentioned by any of the doctors I was under. I was not a member of this forum at the time so I just assumed time off work wasn’t necessary and I went back within a week both times. I shall know better in future if it becomes necessary for me to have any more ablations.
Doctors seem to underestimate the time it takes to recover. My recovery took 6 months,
Migraine aura, a side effect for some following ablation took over six months to disappear in my case, which was a good indicator as to the time required for the body to heal. Rest and time for recuperation is what the doctors should advise.
