AF and Interstitial lung Disease

Dealing with diagnosed AF for a couple of months now and it seems fine and in control with the right meds. However I’ve now been diagnosed with interstitial lung disease. Is this just a coincidence or is there a link between the two I wonder.

I believe there is a connection sometimes. There will probably be others here and on the British Lung Foundation website who have personal experience of this.

From the point of view that lung problems can cause AF yes but I suspect the lung problem actually came first.

Have you been on Amiodorone? My mother’s interstitial lung disease is due to this.
