Got to the chemist which was open, took my prescription, passport etc, but he said sure I can give them to you, at a small cost, wanted 14 tabs £8 but if I was exempt all I had to do was phone nhs direct 111 tell them you have run out they will ask a few questions ( I was doing this for hubby) and still could do it, name of drug, name of GP practice, told them I was outside chemist, gave address, and they electronically sent permission thru, 3 mins and got them without paying, to be honest we were so relived as it was beta blockers, we needed, we would have paid.
