That would be unwelcome. Some of us are very much affected by AF and others less so. There are those who are have AF - occasionally or all the time - and are unaware of it.
The thing is, when it knocks at the door it does wake us up and encourages us to toe the line, look at diet, sleep, stress and lifestyle and this is no bad thing.
Relim I have given myself a talking to. My husband was about to lose his job and I allowed myself to get stupidly uptight. I already have to watch my diet lifestyle as I am diabetic. I just don’t seem to have the emotional stamina that I used to have. However I am also a lady of a certain age!
Hi, hope rhis help I had svt and bacicaly the cleaver electrics make a short cut off circuit and create a small path and goes round instead of usual route pulse will be very fas t but regular. I was diagnosed also after ssablationvt ablation year after that treated Af it csn be fast, normal, lower heart rate but will be irregular and feel like heart flop flops or I say box of frogs going of different time s an csn feel it not regular ..
Thank you willow I think this was an afib attempt I am used to the fast short runs but I felt terrible all day although pulse was only irregular for a short period of time
Yes you get to know difference I could tell just arm you self knowledge that I found my strenght help me understand an cope with unpredictably of the conditions, I was very tired with afib also, washed out, grey an fainty .. are you under care for this? It can be bit circle when anxiety there to, which is very normal as no normal when heart doing all that! ,have you practiced breath techniques? Mindfulness?
I find hard to quite mind and thoughts with meditaction, I use the senses when anxious that takes mind off thinking like 5 things can hear, 5 touch, 5 smell, 5 can see and 5 taste.. then 4 ect.. its har d to think about anything ele w hen doing this and you can do it anywhere if 5 things t much start with 3? I guess it finding a couple things tgat wrk for you anxiety horrible on top of wgat your goi ng through.. wish you well
Are you waking up in the morning refreshed? Sleep issues are I believe an important contributory factor to AF. I do 45 mins meditation, exercise & prayer before going to bed, as well as using a nasal strip as my upper airways are not very clear. I also got yesterday from the dentist a guard for my bottom front teeth as I tend to grind my teeth in my sleep - haven't tried it yet but hope it will help??
Totally agree about sleep issues, and greatly underestimated, having just been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea ( after 7 years of struggling with AF ) after 5 weeks on my CPAP machine I have gone done from 68 episodes an hour to my best last night ( with a new chin strap and nose pillows ) of 2.5 an hour and feel really refreshed and positive ( at last) .
Yes I do struggle with sleep. I am also diabetic so it affects my blood sugars. I am going to put some relaxing music on and try and relax. I think I get into a cycle of anxiety. I have meditation today so see if I can get on top of it today rather than me feeling out of control
