Does anyone else when they have a few seconds of Afib feel like their heart is quivering/vibrating? Really panicked me today? X

Heart quivering
Yes,its just a natural settling down action my excellent EP said.Does feel a bit weird!
My heart was beating normally and suddenly. Started quivering! It lasted seconds I did a big cough and it stopped! Does that sound like a short burst of Afib? X
Its hard to say Lottie, some people get this with anxiety,my son for one. When we are waiting to see someone about ANY health issues ,it does make us sensitive to the issue rather more than usual.I notice you had a similar experience while driving, and wonder if it stress that is magnifying your awareness of things you may not have paid attention to before?
Sending you best wishes
Hi Lotty. Mine does this quite often. I think it may be a short burst of afib but have never been able to catch it on my Kardia to prove it.
Hi does it feel like it’s almost vibrating and not beating if that makes sense x
Nothing to worry about, Lotty.
This weird stuff happens from time to time. Just mention it to your GP or cardiologist at your next appointment. Obsessing about it only increases your fear and anxiety. That's not good for you and not good for your loved ones.
Concentrate on the things you enjoy in life.
Hi Lotty, in my experience those of us who have this condition become very attuned to the multitude of changes and sensations that, had we not got the condition, we would probably ignore. We develop a sensitivity which in turn breeds anxiety, which in turn exacerbates every single quiver and tremble. I have had to discipline myself to ‘ignore’ the little incidents such as you describe because, after all of my tests and consultations i have to trust the results and diagnosis. I have Afib and will experience all sorts of these sensations. Note them and relate them to your gp or consultant when you next see them. Of course if these events are accompanied by chest pain then seek more urgent advice otherwise try to get used to having the condition and these events being part of it. It does take time though.
I used to have the sensation frequently and was told by my GP a forceful cough should clear it. He never said it was AFib but described it as a series of “missed beats”.
Yes, it is horrible especially when you are alone and it happens at night. Everything seems much worse in the dark and when lying in bed. It usually settles down after a while but getting anxious about it seems to make it worse!
I become faint, weak....wish I was in bed when it happens. SVT caused "beats to nowhere" so ask to wear a cardiac monitor for at least two weeks. Only way mine was detected. Either way, don't panic. Deep breaths, cough as advised above.
Before i was diagnosed I had this symptom. It felt like the left side of my back was shivering and fluttering. When I got to the consultant I shared this set of symptoms assuming it was common to all A F sufferers . He said it was nothing to so with Afib....and had never heard the like before!!
Very dismissive. I felt a freak...
It is good to hear that others have this....I feel affirmed....Thank you!
Once I was on meds it became less frequent....makes sense it would be!!!
I have had that quite often and even while being hooked up to a heart monitor there was no evidence of anything fluttering! I know what you speak of ... feels like butterflies in your chest. It is very frustrating.
I get that a lot, in fact very often, and sometimes it is a lead into a big AFib episode, like a little warning! So, I don't like it but nothing I can do!!!
Trying to reply to your post to me - yes buzzing and vibrating.
