Roofline ablation

So, need to have a second ablation. EP was on about possibly doing a roofline ablation also, is this gonna completely wipe out my left atrium or what I’m picturing a burnt piece of toast tbh. Have any others had a roofline one?

My ablation included the roofline, also a 'box', (don't ask because I don't know!) Everything seems to be working OK except that my AF is back though much shorter episodes than before so I'm not rushing to have another ablation, as you say, visions of toast 😀

You will be fine. It just means an extra line across the atrium as there are other areas than the four pulmonary veins firing off. Many people have these.

Thanks for the replies. My EP also said if this doesn’t work there isn’t any more he can do. Also, do u all think this will help with ectopics?
