Has anyone on here stoped warfarin after a successful ablation procedure? ❤️

Stoping warfarin.
Personally no Sam but my Chadsvasc risk was much higher than yours. If your risk was low (which from memory it was) and you were only on it for the purpose of your ablation then it may be optional to take or stop.
Thanks bob it’s a 1 for being a woman 🙄
If you're only a one for being a woman then that doesn't count and you're effectively zero. So you could stop. But best take advice on that.
My EP has took me off warfarin it was there advice as after all tests 11 months post procedure? Stress test, echo, tape. EP said to stop them Just wanted to no has anyone else done this? I am a worrier and just curious how people have got on after coming off them mark . Got another holiday booked and leave tomorrow, went on are first holiday in 6 years to Cancun back in May , I was on warfarin but had my machine with me as my INR changed with heat and foods and the odd acholic drink , but it went well only thing I got was swollen ankles from the long Hall flight and stupid me didn’t get socks 🧦 but I have got them this time . Flight was 9 and half hours to Cancun, this flight is 3 but still very nervous about it . Hospital new I am going away and still wanted me to stop warfarin. However I have been given apixaban to take with me this time Incase any thing happens. I tend to like to be prepared for the worst as I have terrible anxiety to go with it 🙄
I stopped it after a successful ablation, but I seem to have a sneaky case of old age creeping up on me. My cardiologist said my heart has gone a bit wobbly again and I should go back on it., which I have.
I like wandering around the mountains in Austria (ski lift up - decaf coffee and a rostii at the top - pleasant walk down). They have a fantastic anti pollen system there where every day at about 5.30 they give all their forests a good thunder wash. I asked one of the locals what the German word for lightning was. He replied 'about 5 o'clock'
I look on it as anti-stroke insurance?

Hi Sam - I am scored the same as you and my anticoagulants were stopped 3 months after my ablation. I still have Af episodes most days and am on the waiting list for another ablation. I think medical advice has to prevail here, although I have noticed on this group that additional personal preference will also play a part, as some people will choose to stay on them for peace of mind or refuse them even with a significant score. Hope you enjoy your holiday 😊
I was 60 when I had my first PVI ablation and came off Warfarin about 4-5 months after having had the usual post op blips. Clear for 7 years until AF attack in February this year, now back on it awaiting another ablation. Another cyclist with AF. Regards Gordon
After my second ablation I was taken off warfarin straight away. I must admit I was surprised as I was unsure if the second ablation was going to go well. As it turns out all is going well after six weeks. I see my cardiologist at the end of the month and will review my situation with him.
