I’ve been af free since my ablation 16months ago , but the last week have experienced it creeping back which is quite worrying .it started when I started to suffer with hayfeever which I don’t normally suffer with . Mainly during the night now I get the symptoms again of irregular rhythms and fatigue. Was wondering if this will pass or am I creeping back to square one again .

Hayfeever
I had similar - hay fever is diabolical this year. Since I stopped coughing so hard and sneezing all the time the arrythmias have vanished so maybe yours will too, you can live in hope. My ablations lasted about 3 years.
I was ablated for SVT 16 months ago (is it always caused by an extra node?). On Sotalol 40mg bid. I didn't realize it had a limited time span. Thought once that node that didn't belong there was burnt, problem solved. Went back for check up but how would that help. EP said I could have been born with extra node. Did have episodes of weakness n needing to lie down, hold onto poles on street etc usually first day of menstrual cycle. Since those days are long over and it happened severely on railroad one night I saw a cardiologist. Heart muscle strong, mitral valve prolapse. 30 day with 10 lead cardiac monitor revealed SVT. Received calls while wearing and feeling fine asking if I just finished running. Felt fine but 40 to 60 extra heart beats revealed. Had that extra node ablated...thought that's it.
has anything else changed ? Is your weight creeping up? Less regular exercise? diet changed? Chloresterol levels ok? Checked any hay fever/antihistamine medicine you are taking for side effects- I found that out the hard way, as in leaflet fine print 'may cause palpitations' after they got going again.
Good thought for lanc2 as I just discovered that clariten can trigger afib, flexoral and barbituates. ! I have taken all 3 for yrs for severe back issues and allergies. So now I am not sure what to do? Will ask Dr but sometimes I find I am more informed than they are she it comes to med issues. Since I got Afib 1 yr ago I.Google a lot to get answers.
