Amiodarone and nervous system

Went to my neurologist last week and he tested feet nerves are very damaged had a few falls, he suggested coming off amiodarone but by EP fights me about coming off. I don’t want to go back into AFIB after 2 conversions but the horrible effects of this drug have me turning into a recluse. I have no social life because of constant falls. Can anyone recommend a drug that might fight numbness but also work to keep me in sinus rhythm

A lot of forum members on here take Flecainide tablets, along with a small dose of beta blocker. Flecainide is the best drug I've taken to help with AF. Nothing else worked, not even Amiodarone.

Saw my EP today jean and he took me off amiodarone told me to come back in June and if my numbness is gone and my rhythm good he will try something else but didn’t mention flecainide.

I was put on Amiodarone last year it is a terrible drug! I felt that I was going to die.

I like jean was put on Flecainide 100 mg 2x per day. Very few side affects. Once you stopping takeing Amiodarone it next 9 months or more to get out of you system.

“Thanks brand just got home from my EP he took me off Amiodarone and said I’m good for months. Seeing him in June and I will hopefully have feeling back then he will put me on another drug. Sounds good to me
