One of my veins was damaged so only half my diaphragm working. It slightly improved before I left hospital but at night I feel very anxious and its harder to breathe.
How long before im able to go out for little walk
How long before I should return to work. I work helping special needs children so lots of bending etc.

You need to try and rest completely for at least a week and not a lot more for a second and then listen to your body . If what you describe is phrenic nerve damage it may take some months to fully recover so be patient.
I think you'll have to be guided by your doctor- even without the damage, the advice is to take things easy for a while. You'll probably know when you feel OK for a walk - just don't overdo it and listen to your body- go for a circular walk so you are near home and can come back easily if needed. Good luck- keep us posted.
Whatever you do, don't go back to work too soon and then feel so tired you regret it. After a few weeks have a few days going out and doing things before returning. If you have to stand for most of your day, then make sure you are capable of that. Sitting when you like at home and feeling you're ok is not what you will be doing at work, so keep that in mind.
Thanks jeanjeannie ye once back in work you have to be in full health. I defo wont go back for two weeks and will try few bits out and about. I wint rush back. Cari. G
Take some time to truly let yourself heal. I’m three weeks out and initially got back to work a week later. With my complications I was back out this week to rest with new meds. Please take it easy, don’t push too fast and listen to your body. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Ah thanks so much. Company doctors already on my case looking for return date to work. Im a week over it today. Improving but weak. Ill take your advice. Cheers. Realky appreciate it
