I had my blood pressure took and it says in the letter 100/60 and heart rate 57 beats per minute, is the blood pressure high or low or ok? as I don't know nothing about it.
Thank's Keith.

Hi Keith, usual caveat that we are not medically trained, but if you check out the webpage below, it suggests that your systolic (100) is ideal, but your diastolic (60) is a bit low. Most cardiologists suggest a heart rate of 60 to 90 is OK, over 100 is less so.

Thank's FlapJack.
Hi Keith..low blood pressure is defined when below 90/60...either figure to be below this.
Keith, your blood pressure is fine - perhaps a little 'low normal' but that's much better than the alternative. Dizzyness when you suddenly stand up is the first symptom that your blood pressure is too low for you, so look out for that and let your doctor know if it becomes a problem. But in the absence of that, don't worry.
As far as your heart rate goes, you are on bisoprolol which brings the rate down but again, 57 is perfectly fine. Remember, we all get 3 billion beats to use from cradle to grave and the slower you use them up, the longer you'll live. What?....you didn't know that?
OMG. I must be ready to explode. I've just taken my BP and it reads 170/91 with HR at 61. I always thought that the ideal reading to go for is 130/80 with HR at 80. I run better if I could get to that. My doctors don't seem too worried, so.... Dave
It's about what mine is and my HR is about 54 - doctor said, just don't stand up too suddenly
It is on the low side but doubt if it is anything to worry about. Better than being really high!!
