Hi Hidden and atrialfib

I wonder if any doctor will believe you if you tell your "egg" story.

I must say this is shocking news to hear!

Google says this "Lasalocid" antibiotic goes under the heading of "coccidiostat".

It looks like it is also used in sheep and cattle, but no information about how that affects heart rhythm. I think it will depend on the concentration of this lasalocid in the meat.

Interesting report on Lasalocid: soilassociation.org/media/4...

Thank you for posting this goldie, I am not at all surprised. I have been involved with farming and am a big Foodie and the scandal on food is breaking by drips at present but when it reaches tipping point it will make the 'bank','tobacco' and every other scandal we have had look irrelevant. Sorry to be a doom monger.

The solution I do is to grow some of your own, find the best local food you can and keep searching for good sources whilst cutting down considerably on processed food and other that comes from unknown to you places. Also pay a lot more for quality clean food, it's not expensive it's just realistic and you eat less because your body is satisfied quicker with quality.

It seems to me that nearly everyone coming to the AF Forum is looking for triggers, whether food or alcohol or whatever. However, this thread diverging into food in general and the conditions in which our food is grown is interesting in it's own right, AF or not. Quality always counts. We buy "Laid with Love" eggs, marketed by a consortium of small producers who have all signed up to good free range conditions for their hens. There is a web site. I am now wondering if they use these veterinary drugs, or not?

I believe very few do What they say they do,when it comes to money, corners get cut.

I would expect organic eggs should be free from drugs. We have our own hens and I haven't noticed any difference when I eat their eggs, or course they are drug free now although rescued from intense rearing and egg laying! Interesting thoughts although I havn't noticed any triggers other than stress and sitting on adreneline . I am now in permenent AF and seem to have got used to it.

The only problems with eggs I had were to do with the yolks dropping my INR if I had too many
