Where would be the best place to go for a private MRI scan are they all the same or are some better than others.

I cannot answer your specific question but my friend had an MRI scan done on her heart recently, on the NHS. Apparently it took ages and she became distressed because she desperately needed a wee. You need to have an empty bladder for this. I know someone who was quoted £600 for an MRI on his hip recently.

For a heart MRI I think you would have to go to a specialist heart hospital. I had one last year privately at Papworth hospital.

I'm not a medic but the MRI produces a structural image of the heart. As for the equipment, it can differ in age and strength.

I think you need to ask how modern it is, I seem to recall there being a better model being used when I went for one, sorry can't recall any more detail.

I had a scan on my lumber spine at the London imaging centre they charge £200. on a weekend and £250. on a weekday the price included the radiologists report but you should note they use a T 1.5 scanner the newer scanner is the T 3 its more powerful and gives better images vista diagnostics ( used them in the past for an mri on my knee but do not recall the price they also provided the radiologist report in the price ) has at least one as does the institute of sport and medicine here are there websites medicine london-imaging.co.uk/servic... vistadiagnostics.co.uk/ iseh.co.uk/patients/clinica...
