Hi there.
Anyone know about Edoxaban?
What exactly do you want to know about this new oral anticoagulant?
I changed from Warfarin to Edoxaban in January this year, just one a day, no problems (as yet).
I've been taking it since April but I have to take it with lanzoperol or I get really bad indigestion otherwise it's ok
I have been taking it for just one year, my anniversary oddly! I don't have any problems with it. I wasn't on any medication at all prior to this, and still only this. Don't know why my GP pharmacist decided this one for me, I expect cost, but at two hospitals I attend they 'don't have any other patient on that ' they say. My pharmacy has to get it in each time just for me, so I wait a little longer before picking it up. Once a day is a big bonus . Hope all goes well for you.
I was on warfarin, then Dabigatran. Then had a clot and EP said Edoxaban was best for me. I trust him.
To JohnHop. I have not taken Edoxaban but when I was researching the NOAC's these are the brief notes I made: 60mg or 30mg/Often recommended for low body weight people. Bleeding risk generally low. That's all I know. Wish you well...
I think the 30mg dose is for those on Dronedarone as it enhances its effect. 60mg is the normal dose I think. I have been on for a year. It only requires one dose per day and is safe to leave for a day or two if receiving dental treatment/surgery for example where bleeds will occur. It was only licenced by NICE last year or so to my knowledge.
