For ever??

If you had afib once for a few weeks will it always be there waiting to rear jts ugly head?

No, not necessarily. You may have eaten or done something to trigger it. Or it could have been caused by stress. Was it constant AF for weeks?

It started after my aortic valve replacement last August, was on and off till cardioversion in December. Since then been in sinus. Take bisopropol and dialzem. Having thyroidectomy next month and am hoping i can stop tablets after.

Well, the thing is, if you have A Fib, it tends to lurk for life, but if it's not present for the moment, aren't you lucky! Make the most of having normal rhythm if you have it.

And the threat of it tends to make us pay attention to the way we live and that's no bad thing.
