Loop Recorder

Finally I have my appointment to have a loop recorder inserted into my chest. I am told this will relay the information to the hospital each time I have an event of bradycardia. Hopefully they will soon have enough information to determine whether I can be treated with further medication or will require a pacemaker.

Hi Buffafly, the name was stuck on me when I first needed to use a wheelchair about 25 years ago. Having always been very active previously I was very frustrated with the limitations a chair caused & consequently would drive my chair at full speed. The procedure to fit the loop recorder went very well & apart from a little pain now there were no problems. I was able to ask a lot of questions but as always happens I have more. It will help if I can possibly get some answers here from others that have undergone this procedure. I'll put my question up as a new post so that it doesn't get lost in all the other chat.
