Saw the local none-EP cardiologist today. Been told to continue with the Amiodrone 200mg and Bisoprolol 10mg until I see my EP in Wythenshaw on 17th August.
Aside from the usual... do you smoke (no) drink (no) have lots of caffeine (3 cups of tea a day) he also said my BMI was a little high (it's something like 33) which I knew it would be after only being at work for a month since Jan 28th & relative inactivity.
He seems to think my 3rd ablation may be the way to go, but we both agree the Amiodrone is working for me at the moment. I was back to work yesterday.

Glad to hear you are making progress with the Amiodarone. How is the Amipodarone making you feel.
Not so good news in my case. I'm back in AF. I also have an appointment with my EP in July. I'm seriously thinking that now I may be on the path for a CRT-D pacemaker.
Hopefully now I'm back walking on average 8 miles a day even without the patient handling & with longer evenings and the Peak District on my doorstep I will.
Amiodoarone 200 has really made a difference for me too! It really helped my metropolol and that Entresto stuff. My heart's AF has been almost nonexistent. I'm in USA and am not familiar with the bisoprolol but it sounds similar. I'm 55. I just had an ankle replacement and had an excellent echocardiogram prior to surgery so I hope it works for you as well as it has worked for me!
Sadly the Amiodrone / Bisoprolol combination failed on 12th July and again 7th September.... first time reverting back to NSR after a few days and the birth of my daughter... this time it's been going on a week.
